Last night THE Buck O’Neil passed away.
Being from Kansas City, I had a chance to meet him, six-ish years ago, and I even got his autograph. I was so embarassed to ask him, because Senator Jim Talent was with him, and no one was asking Talent for his autograph and I felt bad for him… 
Anyway, I am no fan of baseball, but I really, really wanted him inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame before he died, and now its too late. Damn them!
Rest in peace, Buck.
