Something Entirely Frivolous…

Oh man, not even an hour ago I dropped my sister’s Super Mario Advance cartridge in a cup of water. Swear to God, I almost died and even that wouldn’t have been enough to sate her possible anger.

*sighs with relief*

Fortunately, it wasn’t that much water. I retrieved it quickly and dried it off (cursing myself the entire time) and blew the, uh, thingy. You know, that method of clearing dust from the cartridge? I did that to dry it off. Thankfully it still works.

And this isn’t the first time I spilled a liquid on a cartridge either. When I was younger I accidently spilled Kool-Aid on our copy of Crusin’ World (64). Thankfully, that one still worked to. I have incredible luck when beverages meet cartridges.

Or maybe Nintendo really does build ‘em tough. Ford tough. Lol.

Anyway, I am watching Spike’s Video Games 2006 awards show. Its fun, but it sucks. Seriously, it sucks. They’re not putting enough thought into the nominations (which is fine, if you’re a casual gamer) and its just shameless self promotion. Not at all what I expected. Still, its (mostly) harmless fun.
